Already a premier place to live on Hilton Head Island, Sea Pines Resort is about to become even more popular after some recent upgrades.
The resort just held the Grand Opening of the Plantation Golf Club Clubhouse – a $17 million investment. This elegant 23,000-square-foot facility will serve the Heron Point and Ocean golf courses and will also offer premier events for guests and residents.
Some of its features include the 2,000-square-foot Magnolia Room (a meeting and event space) as well as a 4,500-square-foot elevated outdoor porch.
And believe it or not – Plantation Golf Club is not the only improvement coming to Sea Pines, which is already the largest resort on Hilton Head Island with more than 5,500 acres.
Hilton Head Resort Community Gets Major Improvements
The resort will also open by Memoial Day Weekend the new Sea Pines Beach Club, a $12 million investment.
This two-story facility will sit where the old club once was and will provide such amenities as: a beachside restaurant, oceanfront beach bar, concessions, retail shop, rooftop bar terrace and special event space.
There will also be more outdoor showers and public restrooms at the new beach club.
A third investment coming to Sea Pines is the Harbour Town Golf Links Clubhouse, which will cost about $20 million.
This new 26,000-square-foot clubhouse will be constructed on the site of the existing clubhouse and will highlight the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament with a gallery showcasing tournament history.
Other features of the clubhouse will include:
- A living room lounge
- 2,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor restaurant and barÂ
- 1,900-square-foot signature pro shop & retail display
- Terraces and covered porches
- A 4,000-square-foot locker room
- A beautiful 2,200-square-foot banquet and event room
Construction is expected to begin immediately after the 2014 RBC Heritage, and will be completed before the 2015 event.
Wow - That’s a Lot of Upgrades!
All told, these three improvement projects will total $49 million in investments this year. That’s incredible!
