In the first 8 months of 2013, 878 golf community homes were sold. 2012 saw 670 golf community homes sold in the first 8 months. The ALL TIME record was back in 2005 when 845 golf community homes were sold. Since the lowest point last year; however, prices have increased 6% to $326,000, and continue to show an increasingly strong demand from current home buyers to own homes or villas in golf communities in the Hilton Head area.
