Oceanfront Real Estate on Hilton Head Island
Perhaps Hilton Head Island’s greatest attraction is its beaches which stretch for twelve miles inviting sunbathing, walking and water-oriented recreation. The Island’s sandy beaches are generously wide due to 7.5 foot tides, which are also responsible for creating the sand dunes that gently arc from beachline to land.

There are three types of oceanfront properties on Hilton Head Island:
- Oceanfront homes. Some of these are permanent residences and others are second or rental homes.
- Oceanfront villas/condominiums. A few are permanent residences, but most are second or rental properties. The words “villa” and “condominium” are synonymous. Some are flats. Others are townhouses. And some are one-level attached residences.
