For the last 10 years home sales in the Hilton Head real estate market have averaged 1,976 homes per year, according to Hilton Head Area Multiple Listing Service (MLS) statistics. In 2013, an extraordinary 2,730 homes were sold. This is an unbelievable increase of 38 percent! In fact, this breaks the previous record set in 2005 by 99 homes. See chart below.

                          Belfair's Historic Avenue of Oaks

There has never been a better first 11 months in Belfair home sales in the community's history! During this time, 31 homes in the Belfair area have sold at a median price of $575,000. The 31 homes sold is a new record for any January through November period in the history of the Multiple Listing Service's reported data. The number of home sales has more than doubled the number of sales during the same time period of last year and has steadily risen an incredible 158% since the low point in 2009 when 12 homes were sold.

Port Royal Plantation Beach


Home sales in Port Royal Plantation on Hilton Head Island, SC are booming! In the first eleven months of 2013, 67 Port Royal Plantation homes have sold at a median price of $590,000. The 67 homes that have sold are the highest number of sales in Port Royal Plantation over the first eleven months of any year since 2007. This is 27 more homes than were sold in the same time period last year, an increase of 67.5 percent!

Homes sold numbers for the Bluffton SC area are going crazy this year! In the first ten months of 2013, 542 homes in the Bluffton area have sold at a median price of $185,000. The 542 homes sold is a new record for any January through October period in the history of Multiple Listing Service reported data recording. The number of home sales has steadily risen an incredible 52.7% in the past 5 years.
