Solid beginnings make for solid performance
Rick Turner's passion for excellence started as far back as he can remember
Local Realtor® Rick Turner has special memories of his father as a youth ... and the utmost respect.
His dad, Dick Turner, because he was already 33 years old at the start of World War II, could have easily avoided serving military duty, but instead he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and wound up fighting his way across the Pacific in a series of heroic island invasions.
Setting high standards
"Growing up we knew Dad always expected us kids to do the right thing no matter what the circumstance," remembers Rick. "He also expected us to do our best in every situation. Because his legacy has been burned into my pschye, I can't help but surround myself with a team that embodies that same spirit ... in spades! These are high quality, passionate team members." To this day Rick Turner and his team abide by his father's precepts and example – going the extra mile, doing all the right things for their clients.
"Rick has been a leader in the local Realtor® community since 1972 and has continually set the highest standards when it comes to integrity and service," says Rick's partner Linda Rudd. "We are passionate about giving honest advice so that our clients get the best buy in the best community for their needs and desires."
"I couldn't have a better partner than Linda," says Rick, "she's been with me in the real estate business since 1998 and is one of the top Realtors in our market. Her background in marketing has really helped us take our Internet and media marketing to amazing levels of effectiveness."
Expect exceptional service
Rick Turner and Associates raise the bar when it comes to doing the right thing to market listings for their sellers. This includes having this website where listings are promoted internationally and a data base of several thousand prospects interested in buying property in this area. They also mail thousands of personalized postcards each month and advertise heavily throughout this market area. Thus they sell more because they advertise more. Additionally they authored an e-book, Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Private Golf Club Communities, considered the foremost document of its kind in the Hilton Head area.
Indeed, Rick Turner and team do expect a lot from themselves. It therefore goes without question that you can expect a lot as well.
Linda Rudd, Partner
After a period of living in Kansas City, toward the end of the 1980's, Linda Rudd embarked on a journey to find a new lifestyle on the southeast coast. That search both began and culminated on Hilton Head Island.
Being raised in the West where sunny days in friendly places abound, the island resounded with an instant appeal for Linda. Her continued "search" turned into a quest of several months duration. Meandering down the coastline through Georgia, and all along both coasts of Florida, she explored one distinctive community after another – each falling short of Hilton Head's magnetic attraction. That was it! Linda has lived in the Hilton Head area ever since, reveling in a way of life so suited to her. She says, "This is where I was meant to live!"
The Hilton Head Lowcountry is home, but Linda treasures her family and loves to travel, literally all around…and out of the country to visit them. "I have three brothers and one daughter, Stephanie," Linda enthusiastically declares. "They are my confidantes, fashion gurus and life consultants," she adds with a smile. The importance of family and traditional values has provided a foundation in her life since childhood.
In her real estate profession, Linda combines her enthusiasm for sharing the "wonders of paradise living" and her enjoyment for helping others. With a background in franchise marketing and sales, Linda started her career in real estate more than ten years ago, and is now a partner with Rick Turner. "I undeniably love what I do in real estate." Says Linda, "It's exhilarating to assist people in fulfilling their dreams as they discover the wonderful possibilities our Lowcountry affords them." She especially likes getting to know her clients and actively listening to and helping them achieve their unique needs and goals. She adds, "It's not only very fulfilling – it's just plain fun!"
Ken Hiatt, Buyer's Specialist
Ten years ago, Ken and his wife Jennifer left Cincinnati in “southern” Ohio for a little bit of paradise on Hilton Head Island in “southern” South Carolina.
They have built and lived in three homes here during this time. Since relocating here, Ken has been a Realtor working exclusively with hundreds of homebuyers to find the best neighborhood and home for them.
Now as a member of the Rick Turner and Associates team at Gateway Realty he is continuing to work exclusively with buyers to find their next property in the extraordinary communities on Hilton Head Island and the Mainland. Having worked extensively with buyers, builders, bankers and real estate brokers during the past decade, Ken has a wide breadth of experience to assist buyers in making wise real estate decisions.
Whether looking for a primary home, secondary home, lot to build on in the future or investment property, Ken works hard and smart to find the best property in the best community at the best price for them. Unlike most Realtors, Ken is exclusively a full time buyer's agent and is thus totally and unconditionally committed to his buyers’ interests.
